Privacy Policy for Rekta

Effective Date: August 16, 2026

Rekta is a single-player Shikaku puzzle game published by Artivy. This Privacy Policy explains what information is involved when you play it. There is no account, no sign-in, and no Artivy server: the game itself is played entirely offline, and the only data that leaves your device is sent to the Google advertising, analytics and crash-reporting services described below.

Playing in a browser

There are two ways to play Rekta, and they do not collect the same things. Everything else on this page describes the Android app from Google Play. The browser version at artivy/rekta/play.html is narrower:

1. Information We Collect

Artivy does not ask for, collect, or store any personally identifiable information about you. The data involved is:

The app requests no device permissions beyond internet access, network state, and the advertising ID permission that Google's advertising and analytics SDKs add.

2. Analytics and Crash Reports

Rekta uses Google Firebase Analytics and Google Firebase Crashlytics. What they send is game figures, not personal details, and the full list is short:

None of this is tied to a name or an account, because there is none to tie it to. The contents of your grid are never sent.

3. How Your Information Is Used

The information above is used only to:

Uninstalling the app removes the progress stored on your device. Clearing the app's data does the same without removing the app. Android's backup may still hold a copy in your Google account, which a later install can restore; that copy is Google's to keep or drop, not ours.

4. Advertising Consent and Choices

Where required by law — for example in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom — Rekta shows Google's consent form on launch, before any ad is requested, using Google's User Messaging Platform. If you were asked for consent, an Ad privacy options row appears in the in-game Settings panel so you can review or change your choice at any time. Players outside those regions are never shown the form and see no such row.

Your device's own advertising settings apply as well: on Android you can reset or delete the advertising ID, and opt out of ad personalisation, under Settings → Google → Ads. Neither that nor declining consent removes ads from the game — they become non-personalised.

5. Third-Party Services

Rekta uses Google AdMob for advertising, Google's User Messaging Platform for the consent form, Google Firebase Analytics for gameplay analytics, and Google Firebase Crashlytics for crash diagnostics. Those are the only third-party services in the app. Google may collect and process data as described in Google's Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy). We use no other advertising network and no other analytics provider.

6. Children's Privacy

Rekta is built for children as well as adults, and we do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children.

The first time you open the Android app it asks what year you were born, before any advert is requested. The answer is kept on your device, it is never sent to us, and it is asked only once. It decides one thing:

The question changes nothing about the game. Every grid, every level and every best time is the same whichever answer you give.

Separately, and for every player regardless of age, advert content in Rekta is capped at Google's “G” rating — suitable for general audiences, and sensitive advert categories are excluded.

The browser version is a different case, and it is not aimed at children. It asks no age question, shows one ordinary display advert served by Google AdSense under Google's own policies, and reads nothing about who is playing. The age gate and the child treatment described above belong to the Android app.

7. Your Rights

Because Artivy holds no data about you, there is no Artivy account to access, correct, or delete. The advertising, analytics and crash data described above sits with Google under their own policy, and the copy of your progress on your device is removed by uninstalling the app or clearing its data.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are published on this page and marked by a new "Effective Date" above. Please review it periodically.
