Terms & Conditions for Artiverse

Effective Date: September 29, 2026

By downloading or using Artiverse (the “App”, published until September 2026 as “Artivy Game Station”), these terms automatically apply to you, so please read them before playing. The App is a free, ad-supported collection of sixteen games published by Artivy: puzzles played alone, games played against a computer opponent that runs on your device, and games two players — or four, in Memory — play by passing one phone between them. No game is played over the internet. The App does keep an account for you on an Artivy server, which holds your points, your achievements and your place on the leaderboards.

1. Intellectual Property

Artivy owns the App and the games in it, including their code, artwork, sounds, level generators and names. You may play them as much as you like. You may not sell them, republish them, or present them as your own.

2. Your Account

The App creates an account for you the first time it can reach our server. No sign-in and no personal detail is needed: a guest account is a number and a name you may change. You may instead sign in with Google Play Games, in which case your name and picture come from Google and are refreshed on every sign-in.

A guest account cannot be recovered. It lives on the phone that made it. If you uninstall the App or clear its data, that account, its points and its scores are gone, and the next launch starts a new player. The welcome screen says so before you choose.
A guest account may be handed to a Play Games account once, keeping everything it earned. If that Play Games player already has an account here, nothing is merged — two wallets cannot be added up — and you are asked whether to carry on as that account instead.
Your display name is shown to other players. It must not impersonate anyone, advertise anything, or be offensive, and it should not identify you. We may reset a name that breaks this.
You may delete your account at any time, from Settings inside the App. Doing so deletes your points, your achievements and your board entries, and puts the phone back to how it was when the App was installed. Nothing is kept, and nothing can be restored — see Delete your account.

3. Usage Restrictions

Please do not:

copy, modify or redistribute the App, or create derivative versions of it;
extract the source code, or attempt to translate it into another language or platform;
use automated tools to play, to collect points, or to interfere with the adverts the App shows;
tamper with the App, its saved data or the messages it exchanges with our server in order to gain points, achievements or a place on a leaderboard.

The server prices every round itself from what the App reports, so a message claiming an amount buys nothing. Where play looks automated rather than played, the account keeps every point it has and is left off the leaderboards. Where the App is used to attack the service, the account may be closed.

4. Points, Unlocks and Achievements

The App has an in-app points system. Points are earned by playing, by claiming achievements and by watching optional adverts, and are spent inside the App on hints, themes and similar unlocks.

There are no purchases with real money. Points cannot be bought, have no cash value, and cannot be sold, transferred, or exchanged for anything outside the App.
Points, unlocks and achievements are a licence to use a feature of the App, not property. They are held on your device and on your account, and they are lost with the account if you clear the App's data or uninstall it.
Your account on the server holds the balance of record. Where the two disagree, the larger of the two stands, so a late sync never costs you points; balances obtained by tampering may be corrected.
Prices, rewards and the list of what can be unlocked may change in future versions.

5. Leaderboards

The boards rank today, this month and all time, for the whole App and for each game. Days and months are counted on our server's clock, in UTC. Other players see your display name, your icon or picture, and your score.

Only what the server priced from a round counts towards a score. Points from achievements, from a doubling advert, and from the App's hidden bonus are paid into your wallet and rank you no higher.
Two-player and four-player rounds on one phone pay no points, no achievements and no score: one person playing both sides would otherwise win every time.
We may reset a board, remove an entry, or discontinue the leaderboards entirely. They are part of a free App, not a service you are owed.
The server may be unavailable. Every game stays fully playable, and what happened is delivered when it can be.

6. Advertising and Third-Party Services

The App is free and paid for by advertising from Google AdMob. There are no banners. It shows:

a full-screen advert after every third round ends in any game — a level solved, a run lost or a board reset — and never within ninety seconds of the last one;
rewarded adverts, which are always optional and always announced first, for points in the Store, double points on a finished round, a hint, or a second chance after losing. Declining costs nothing.

The "Remove ads" item in the Store turns full-screen adverts off for good on that device. Rewarded adverts are then skipped and their reward given straight away.

7. Updates and Changes

The App is updated from time to time, and a newer version may change or remove features. When an update is available on Google Play, the App may require it before it can be used. Several games produce their levels from the level number rather than storing them, so a change to a level generator can change the boards behind the numbers you have reached. Your progress is kept, but a board may not be identical after an update.

8. Limitation of Liability

The App is provided as it is. Artivy is not liable for any loss arising from using it, including lost progress, points, unlocks or leaderboard places after reinstalling, clearing the App's data, or a period when the server could not be reached.

9. Changes to This Document

These terms may be updated as the App changes. The effective date above is when the current version took effect.
